MORE than 50 exotic birds were yesterday taken by their proud owners to Rosemount Working Mens Club, Huttock End, Stacksteads, for Burnley Caged Birds Society's latest show.
The event should have been held at Trawden Agricultural Show but was relocated due to foot and mouth outbreaks in that area.
It is now hoped that enthusiasts from Rossendale will also be persuaded to join the Burnley club.
Rosettes were awarded in several categories including parrots, finches and exotic nectar-feeding birds.
