THE traditional Wakes Weeks holidays for East Lancashire towns in 2002 have been announced.
The holiday fortnight for Burnley, Nelson and Colne will begin on Friday July 5 and the September holiday week will start on Monday the 9th.
People in Blackburn, Hyndburn, Clitheroe, Haslingden, Chorley and Preston can pack their bags for two weeks from Friday July 19.
The September break will begin on Monday the 16th.
In Rawtenstall and Bacup, the summer holidays begin on July 26 and the September break starts on Monday the 16th.
In 2002, the dates of Good Friday and Easter Monday are March 29 and April 1.
