RESIDENTS in Bacup are being given the opportunity to have their say in future developments in environmental regeneration.

A market stall was set up in the town centre to distribute questionnaires and information put together by Bacup Consortium and Groundwork Rossendale. More questionnaires will also be delivered to houses in specific areas. The Consortium, a group of Bacup residents dedicated to increasing awareness of environmental issues, is looking to identify areas in and around the town and Stacksteads which will most benefit from regeneration.

Hester Peters of The Bacup Consortium and Martin Proffit, project officer of Rossendale Groundwork, are pictured with the proposed plans.
