AN MP flew his ballot paper for the Tory leadership election around the world so he could vote.
Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans is in Australia as part of an international conference in the country looking at how to revive interest in politics and elections.
And he is a shining role model himself by having his ballot paper flown out to him in Australia and then flown back at his own expense.
Having voted in the South Australia Parliament building in Adelaide, he will be up at 2am in the morning Australian time to listen to the declaration of the result as he stays in the capital Canberra.
But Mr Evans will be the only one of four Tories glued to the TV sets supporting Iain Duncan Smith. The other three Conservative MPs on the delegation, which also includes Burnley Labour MP Peter Pike, are all supporting pro-European left-winger Kenneth Clarke.
