A CHARITY is to take advantage of holiday makers' leftover foreign coins by turning them into cash for research.
The Darwen Branch of the Cancer Research Campaign has organised for Sun Living, Blackburn Road and Lunn Polly, Market Street, to collect the change for them.
The Darwen branch committee believes the coins would otherwise be useless because travel agents only change notes back into sterling.
Also, with many countries changing to the Euro next year, holidaymakers may never be able to use the coins again.
