A NEW group Friends of Home-Start will have its first meeting next week.
Home-Start provides home visiting support for local families with young children and the aim of the Friends is to raise money for extras such as outings and a family Christmas party.
The meeting will be held at the Voluntary Sector Resource Centre, Yorkshire Street, Burnley, on Friday, September 28 at 1.30pm.
Anyone interested in being involved in fundraising activities are welcome to attend.
The fund has been given a kick-start thanks to Shirley Lynch, community development worker at Padiham methodist Church who raised £48 for Friends' funds at a recent awareness week.
