LADY Shuttleworth has taken over as patron of CancerCare (North Lancs and South Lakes.
She had seen up close the work of the charity while working with the Lancaster Infirmary Macmillan unit appeal, and says the invitation to become its patron is 'a return to familiar territory.'
Meanwhile, the charity is to open the doors of its Lancaster Centre at Slynesdales, Lancaster Road, Slyne on Saturday, September 29 from 10am to 4pm for tours, demonstrations and stalls.
