A NUMBER of racist leaflets circulating in Burnley have been confiscated by police.
It is understood they call for retaliation over the terrorist attack in New York and have been found in the Burnley Wood area.
Insp John Clucas said police were aware of a small number of racist leaflets which had been circulated.
They had been confiscated by officers and inquiries were being made to establish where they came from.
He added: "Leaflets of this kind have from time to time been circulated in the town but thanks to swift action have not given rise to further concern."
