STANDING up in front of a group of strangers and delivering a training session takes more than just a little confidence.
And to prepare would-be trainers for that moment, a new training course is now available at Northern Technologies in Nelson.
The three-day course is designed to equip potential trainers with the skills they need to pass on their knowledge to an audience.
Northern Technologies is one of only a handful of organisations to run the course which leads to the 'Group Training Certificate' which is recognised by the CIEH.
Co-ordinator Debra Brown said delegates would learn about all aspects of training, from room layout to style, planning, delivery and communication.
"Being capable of actually delivering a training session competently is a skill many employers are looking for," said Debra. "This course shows you how."
