STEPHEN Atkinson, 24, of Lindisfarne Avenue, Blackburn, was bound over in £100 to keep the peace for six months when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates and admitted a breach of the peace. A charge of using threatening behaviour was withdrawn.
Wendy Chappell, prosecuting, said police had been called to Atkinson's home, where his mother said she wanted him removed because he was being abusive. He initially left the house but then began shouting at passers by. Basharat Ditta, defending, said Atkinson had been expected for his tea and his mother was none too impressed when he turned up drunk.
