A TEAM of Bury firemen got on their bikes to race across France and all for charity.
Green Watch from Bury fire station stepped on the pedals for a 300-mile trip from St Malo to Bury's twin town Angouleme in June.
More than £2,000 was raised to be split between the Fire Services Benevolent Fund and the children's unit at Fairfield Hospital.
Staff nurse Mena Gilbert, from the children's unit at Fairfield, is pictured receiving the cheque from fireman Dave Baxter, with other members of Green Watch.
The money was being used to buy fibre optic lighting, a television and music centre for the ward.
