BUILDINGS on the former Ribchester Hospital site could soon be replaced by 15 one and two storey detached houses.
Morris Homes, of Newton-le-Willows has applied for planning permission to take over the site.
The application also includes the retention and refurbishment of the existing office building at the main house, and associated works.
After serving the area for many years as a cottage hospital, the Ribchester operation closed during the summer and have been replaced by Longridge Community Hospital, which is due to be officially opened on November 15.
Comments on the application should be submitted to Ribble Valley Borough Council by Friday.
