ENGLAND'S opening game on their controversial tour of India is being switched to a new venue because of security fears.
The match against the Mumbai Cricket Association was due to have been played at Bombay's Gymkhana ground.
But the venue has been moved to the city's Wankhede Stadium because the Gymkhana has no perimeter fencing.
MCA joint secretary Mayank Khandwalla said: "We have been asked to host the match at the Wankhede Stadium for security reasons."
England and Wales Cricket Board spokesman Mark Hodgson said: "The security of the players has always been the ECB's number one priority on this tour."
