STAND Athletic manager Nick Davis knows nothing about his opponents tomorrow -- but he is not too concerned.

His side are riding high at the top of NWCL Division Two with an 11 point cushion on their nearest challengers and tomorrow seek to continue their winning form against fellow league newcomers Norton United.

Davis is backing his side's confidence to see them through an away test against a Norton side who have also done well in the competition and lie mid-table.

"To be honest I know absolutely nothing about them, but as we are on a run of 13 wins in our last 14 games we are concentrating more on how we play," said Davis.

"Everyone is buzzing at the moment and the confidence is sky high -- as you would expect when the side is winning regularly."

Their success has led to Davis collecting a second successive manager of the month award but he is quick to credit the men on the field.

"It is fantastic really to get the recognition, but what the achievement means is that the team are playing well," said Davis.

"Everybody is enjoying it at the moment and I hope I get a few more of these awards during the season because it will mean that we are still doing well."

Central defender Ian Davies returns after injury for the Norton trip, but Stand are without central midfielder Steve Carroll who is suspended.
