CHAMPAGNE corks were popping as a Blackburn couple celebrated sixty years together.
Richard, 82, and Doris Fenton, 80, of Pendle Drive, Blackburn held their diamond wedding anniversary celebrations at the Butler's Arms in Pleasington. They were joined for the evening by their three children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Richard, a retired plaster said: "We've weathered some bad times, like the war together, but with marriage you have to take the rough with the smooth, basically we're just good mates."
