ANYONE who is interested in finding out more about their family past or has always wanted to start a family tree but would not know where to start can get a helping hand next Saturday, November 17, at Colne Library.
Members of the Burnley and Pendle Family History Society will be at the library between 10am and 3.30pm with an assortment of both local and national materials to trace family backgrounds.
These will include the 1881 Census, war records and the UK index to wills.
An exhibition on family values, chartering the past lives of five different Colne families, will also be open in the upstairs reference library and will run until January 2002.
Families featured include the Cunliffes, Englands, Carrs, Greens and Hackings.
