DIG out your platform shoes, flares and glittery tops -- Bjorn Again are back in Blackburn!

And this year the audience can get up, get down and boogie all night with the supertroupers for a roof-raising stand-up gig at King George's Hall.

The last stand-up gig in the main hall was performed by Robbie Williams in May 1998, but they were banned soon after when it was discovered dancers were causing the walls to vibrate.

Now eight huge iron girders have bolstered the building and the return of Bjorn Again is guaranteed to bring the main hall alive to the sound of Abba's greatest hits including the ever-popular Dancing Queen.

The super singing pseudo-Swedes have a huge following in East Lancashire and tickets are selling well for the King George's Hall gig on Friday,

Bjorn Again -- Agnetha Falstart, Frida Longstokin, Benny Anderwear and Bjorn Volvo-us -- are a world famous Australian band who sing, talk, dance and breathe Abba. Benny Andersson, one half of the original 1970s Swedish songwriting team, said of the pretenders: "Fans had better make the most of Bjorn Again because it's the closest they are going to get to seeing Abba. Abba will never reform!"

Speaking to Pulse mid-way through their 63-date UK tour, Frida Longstokin said she was looking forward to returning to Blackburn. "I have to say when we go up north, the shows are always really good," she said.

"We have an awful lot of shows and a long way to go, so we have to keep up our energy."

One thing that keeps the adrenaline pumping is the audience response. Frida said: "Lots of different age groups come to the show and it is wonderful when children come and sing the words back to you."

Another audience favourite is Money, Money, Money and Bjorn Again throw chocolate coins into the crowd for the children to catch. "You have to be careful when you throw it, and sometimes they throw it back if they don't like chocolate," Frida said.

"When we perform Take A Chance On Me

Benny goes a bit mad, that is something a little bit special. Benny drives me completely crazy, he thinks he is a great rock god. We do a new song on this tour and Benny tells everybody they might not know it, because neither do we.

"Agnetha and I do a stupid dance to it in our platform shoes, which are okay unless you have a slippery stage. Once Bjorn fell straight on his back during Dancing Queen but fortunately carried on playing on his back -- but Agnetha and I laughed all the way through the song."
