POLICE in Burnley want information about an incident in which a purse containing £350 was stolen from a 77-year-old woman.
Two men called at her home in Lowerhouse Lane between 2.30-3pm on Thursday, making inquiries about someone in the area.
She allowed one of them in and when he left she realised her dark brown containing £350 was missing from the living room. Also stolen was a brown wallet and £15. The only description available is that the man who went into the house appeared to be in his thirties.
Police are carrying out further inquiries and are appealing for anyone who saw two men acting suspiciously in the area or who may have received a visit from them to contact Burnley CID on 01282 472144 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
