AN urgent request has gone out from a worthy charity to people who may have received a present this Christmas that they can't use or don't particularly want. It could be put to very good use.
The Marie Curie shop in St James Street, Burnley, is asking people to contribute unwanted gifts to be handed over to them to help people with cancer.
Area manager for the charity Sylvia Wright said: "Every year most people receive at least one gift they don't really want or can't use.
"We are asking people to hand in any unwanted presents to the shop in Burnley where they will be sold to raise essential funds.
"It costs £15 to provide one hour of nursing care so all donations are very welcome and will be sold on to raise money for our organisation".
