REGARDING the proposed closure of old people's homes (LET, February 1), the intentions of this government never cease to amaze me.
They can afford to send our soldiers and millions of pounds to other countries, yet they can't afford to update our old people's homes.
I would like to point out to Tony Blair, Jack Straw and the rest of the gang that this is the mother country and a good mother always puts her own family first.
What is happening in this country really scares me.
