POOR old chanticleer (LET, February 4), is "move two of the birds" a euphamism for "on today's menu?"
Shame both on the Berry family and Rossendale Council's wimpish environmental health department which had ordered the removal of two cockerels from the pets corner at Whitaker Park, Rawtenstall, after the family complained about their crowing.
If the Berrys' house nearby is indeed a 'luxury home,' isn't it double, or even triple glazed?
Is the Environmental Health Department as quick, or eager, to fine unhygienic establishments or unsocial dog owners?
Why should a minority be allowed to spoil the enjoyment of many, especially children?
Many questions, eh? The answer is for the Berrys to move!
