A DATE has been set for the inquest into the death of a Clitheroe youngster who died after being involved in a gas explosion at his home -- providing his parents are fit enough to attend.
Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley coroner Michael Singleton opened and adjourned an inquest at Blackburn Town Hall into the death of nine-year-old Andrew Marsden.
Andrew was involved in an explosion when a blast ripped through the family home, in Standen Road, Clitheroe, on Easter Monday. His brother Stephen, six, and parents John and Lynn are all still in hospital.
Mr Singleton set the date for July 4 at Clitheroe Town Hall.
