PAUL Groves watched his Grimsby side dismantle Burnley's defence but immediately vowed to do the Clarets a massive favour next Sunday.

The Mariners travel to Millwall's New Den knowing they are safe in the first division for another season but they will be going there determined to win and give Stan Ternent and his players a helping hand.

"Burnley are a good side and the teams that are up there in the play-off spots are there on merit," he said.

"Saturday was our day and we were a little bit too good for Burnley on our first half performance. It was a big day for us because it was all about securing our safety in this division. We got stuck in there and really gave it a go.

"But Burnley have been up there for the vast majority of the season, they have got a lot of good players and I still think they will make the play-offs.

"We may have broken a few Burnley hearts today but I can assure the fans that we will be going to Millwall trying to get a win, that is what we are setting out to do.

"We still have three points to play for and we will put the celebrations of staying up behind us to go out and try and beat Millwall."
