FORTY-TWO Mayors and Mayoresses from across the region gathered at the Astoria Ballroom, in Rawtenstall, for the Civic Dinner and Charity Ball.
Around 170 people attended the event which cost £25 each and proceeds will be split among local charities at the end of the municipal year.
There was also a tombola, raffle and auction, with entertainment provided by the live band Buzzword.
Mayoress of Rossendale, Lois Grogan, said: "People paid for the event and were very generous while they were there too. We think we will have done quite well."
