RESIDENTS from the Pennine Road estate in Bacup are being asked for their ideas on the development of Hawthorne Road.
Following the Planning for Real exercise carried out on the estate, residents identified Hawthorn Road as an area for concern.
Groundwork Rossendale, with help from Countryside Agency funding, is carrying out a public consultation with regards to the possibility of turning the area in to a Doorstep Green.
The Doorstep Green scheme aims to develop open spaces for communities to play and relax on their doorsteps.
Since the nearby houses have now been demolished, Groundwork is inviting residents to put forward their visions for the future of the area and a model of the present site will be on display at the Sunnycrest Centre all day today and tomorrow and until noon on Wednesday.
There will also be a member of Groundwork available to discuss residents views, between 10am and 12.30pm, tomorrow.
