A NEW service has been launched in Burnley to provide advice and support for teenagers.

Connexions has taken over from CareerLink and East Lancashire Careers Service to provide support for people from the age of 13 to 19 in their transition into adulthood and working life.

Connexions will provide youngsters with guidance, advice and support to help them make the right decisions about life, education and career choices.

They will offer support in everything from housing and health to learning and social issues for young people all over Lancashire.

Chief Executive for the new company Karen O'Donoghue is excited about what Connexions Lancashire has to offer. She said: "I believe that the new Connexions service has the power to make a real difference to young people's lives while offering career development and support for local residents whatever their age."

The service was launched in Burnley town centre on Saturday and their offices are in Hall Street.
