AN Asda employee from Colne swapped her uniform for cowboy boots and a stetson before flying out to America for the Wal-Mart shareholders' meeting on June 2.
Anne Spencer, who works in the general merchandise department, has been chosen to go to the annual conference of 17,000 Wal-Mart workers in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Asda is part of the Wal-Mart retail chain and Colne is one of 240 UK stores represented.
"To say I'm excited about the trip would be a massive understatement," said Anne. "It will be a fantastic opportunity to meet other Wal-Mart colleagues from stores and depots around the world."
