Ramsbottom annual sports week will start on June 8 and organisers are hoping the event will be bigger and better than ever.
The Holcombe 2 Towers Race will make a welcome return, since it had to be cancelled last year due to the foot and mouth disease crisis.
Several new events have been included for this year, including the Ramsbottom Off-Road Duathlon.
This will challenge the entrants with mountain biking and running over the rugged terrain of Holcombe Moor.
Other events include Ramsbottom's first skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX events.
These will take place in the recreation area off Bolton Road West, on the first Saturday.
Organisers of the sports week are also hoping to put on a karate display in Nuttall Park on June 15 alongside other major sports.
