AFTER metal trees, bee-hives and the grandmother and child statue as examples of public art in Blackburn, can anyone explain what the chrome uprights and bars are at the junction of Church Street and Ainsworth Street?
To me, they look like racecourse hurdles. I would like to know how all these things enhance our town.
Also, I think the look of the Cathedral has been destroyed by the large disc, or whatever it's called, attached to the wall facing the Boulevard. Why destroy a lovely building like that in such a way?
MARGARET McMILLAN (Mrs), St Alban's Court, Blackburn.
