I AM writing in frustration at the parking situation around Blackburn Infirmary and the total lack of understanding from the authorities.
Over the past month, I have attended the Infirmary with my young daughter at difficult times of the day as out-patients, only to find that all the car parks full.
After driving round for 20 minutes looking for a legal place to 'pay and display,' I had no alternative but to park in a permit holders' area and take a chance on not being caught.
On the third occasion, I found a 'one-hour-only' gone and due to the NHS waiting times had to revisit my car on three separate occasions and hope I had not got a ticket.
Fortunately, I met a traffic warden and when I explained the situation he was adamant that I remove my car or I would face a fine.
Surely, the authorities should come up with a solution to help with this kind of unfair treatment -- maybe, with the issue of a temporary pass when given a hospital appointment.
So, come on, let's show a bit of compassion and fair treatment instead of trying to take money out of people with a genuine reason for having to park their cars.
