THE search is on for the final member of the borough's very own boy band.

Auditions are being held this Friday to find a third teenager to make up pop-band Nau-T.

Carol Godby, known throughout the borough for her theatre workshop, is managing the up-and-coming boy band which she formed last summer.

She said: "There is so much talent here, and even Popstars chose a Bury girl Suzanne Shaw for Hear'Say after scouring the country."

Carol, a former Bury Woman of the Year, is the person responsible for giving Nikki Sanderson, who plays Candice in Coronation Street, and Ralph Little who played Anthony in the Royle Family their big break.

"For the past nine months I have been grooming the two members of Nau-T and the vocal coach who worked with Take That! is helping them. She is confident that they can be just as big as Take That!" enthused Carol.

One of the members of the band is from Bury and the other from Yorkshire and Carol is hopeful the final member of the trio will be from the borough.

Teenagers aged 14 to 17 who can sing and dance and have an interest in pop music should ring Carol on 0161 761 2020.

Auditions will take place at Carol Godby's Theatre Workshop in Bury, and the sessions could be filmed for a television show.
