IAN AUSTIN took seven wickets for just 19 runs as he ripped through the Royton batting order in the Inter-League Cup yesterday.

His 53 runs also contributed to the side's 32-run win.

All games started late due to rain and there was no play at all at Burnley against Littleborough. Burnley won 2-1 on a bowl out.

East Lancs beat Heywood by 55 runs. Con De Lange hit an unbeaten 42 in his side's 125-5 and Nas Iqbal hit an unbeaten 27 and then took four wickets for 21 runs as Heywood made 70-9.

De Lange also took four wickets, for 31.

Church played a 15 overs a side match against Oldham. Phil Sykes (27), Mark Higgs (24) and Nick Westwell (21) took the home side to a defendable score of 116-6. Higgs then took 4-34 to restrict Oldham to 89-8.

Russell Whalley (28) hit three sixes in the second over of Rishton's game against Walsden.

Rochdale beat Nelson by 21 runs and Radcliffe beat Enfield by 5 wickets.

Norden had a comprehensive 10 wicket win over Colne. The visitors made 117-6 with Jeff Ellis hitting 42 and Gary Hunt 37 but Asif Mujtaba (43) and Andy North (55) saw Norden home.
