THE Pendle Witches will be the subject of a history lecture at a country pub on Thursday.
The Shireburn Arms at Hurst Green, near Clitheroe, will host the lecture from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
The lecture, Quacks, Astrologers and Scientists -- Belief, Superstition and Magic in Stuart England, will be given by Liverpool University historian David Brazendale.
The pub has been running the popular history courses for five years. They are regularly attended by over 60 history enthusiasts from across the North West.
