I WOULD like to thank the 1,636 people who voted for Environment and Wildlife candidates in the recent local elections.
While changing the way people vote may take a long time, I am very pleased that the borough's environmental champions can again show they have a substantial following. Our decision not to stand in Radcliffe North did have the desired effect.
We will continue to challenge those who would happily harm the environment, through the ballot box and general campaigning.
