REGARDING 'Don't Call Me Mate' (LET, July 24), who are these people who are ill enough to call an ambulance, but then complain about how they are addressed, rather than (and more importantly) appreciating the prompt care and attention they receive?
In my view, ambulance service workers are to be praised for the difficult job they do. And I'm sure they get called a lot worse than 'mate.' but I never hear them complain!
