ROSSENDALE sports organisations are teaming up for a five-a-side football festival to promote community cohesion in the Valley.
The festival will be held in partnership with Sport Rossendale, Rossendale Borough Council and Asian Sports Haslingden during the anti-racism week of action in football. Teams from local schools, community groups and clubs from across East Lancashire are invited to enter.
The cost is £5 per team and application forms are available from the Sports Development Department in Rossendale on 01706 244667. Places are limited and therefore will be allocated strictly on a 'first come, first served' basis.
The closing date for entries is Friday, October 11, and the festival will be held on Sunday, October 20, at Haslingden Sports Centre.
