STUDENTS from Accrington and Rossendale College are hoping to build up a collection of awards when they compete in the National Skillbuild Finals in November.
The college is the only centre of vocational excellence in the North West to send students to battle it out with the country's best and brightest construction students in the four day event at Salford Quays.
Liam Walsh, 19, of Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle, will represent the North West in carpentry and joinery while Adam West, 19, of Tremellen Street, Accrington, will be the painting and decorating representative.
Three other students from Rawtenstall, Rishton and Blackburn will also attend the event beginning on November 13.
