A WOMAN'S handbag was stolen during a drive-by robbery outside the Tesco store in Prestwich.
Police say the 48-year-old lone female was walking in Valley Park Road near the store when she was approached by a red-coloured Ford Fiesta saloon car.
A man reached out and grabbed the bag containing a mobile phone and a small amount of cash. The car then sped off.
The thief is described as white, thin, aged 20 and with short cropped hair. The incident happened at 4pm on Sunday (Sept 22). A similar incident occurred at the same location earlier this month.
Anyone with information is asked to ring Whitefield CID on 856 8248.
