AN Accrington soldier has been enlisted to head up a new Army recruiting campaign.
Matthew Blood, a gunner with the Royal Artillery, features in the new campaign which aims to show the diversity of career opportunities in the army.
Matthew, a former Mount Carmel RC High School pupil, was attracted by prospects of travel and job security and has achieved both.
"I have also gained NVQ qualifications in telecommunications and HGV driving," said Matthew. "Young people need to be made aware that virtually every job offered on the high street is available in the army."
