SATURDAY sees the launch of 1000 Watt Vol 1, a compilation of bands who have rocked Bury's Met.

Featuring Sighing Gaia, David R Black, who are playing the Met tomorrow, Saturday, The Libertines, and Reformasi, it is largely a rock-indie offering well worth a listen.

David R Black singer Dave Naylor, one of the driving forces behind the project, said: "The local scene is really healthy and people are excited about it so it made sense to do it.

"There are established acts, as well as some who had never been in a studio before, so it was great to give them a chance."

The album is out on Monday, priced £5.

We have goodie bags to give away, each containing the CDs 1000 Watt Vol 1, David R Black 3, and a T-shirt. To win, tell me the name of David R Black's singer.
