WALKERS strapped on their boots for a good cause at the weekend, when a sponsored walk took place from St Thomas' Church on Saturday to raise money for church funds.
The group set off from the church and walked along the canal to Barden Mill before returning though Lomeshaye and Victoria Park. Mrs Irene Hutchinson, from St Thomas' said they were hoping to raise more than £100 from the day's activity.
