FORMER Rovers striker Chris Sutton said he is relishing the chance to cross swords with his old club when they meet later this month.

Sutton spent five years at Ewood where his goals as part of the famous SAS strike partnership with Alan Shearer led Rovers to the Premier League title in 1995.

So when yesterday's second round draw paired his current club with the one which put him on the map, he couldn't have been more delighted.

"This is a great draw for us and I'm really forward to it," said Sutton.

"I had a great time at Blackburn. They provided me with some of the best times and memories of my career.

"I had five great years there. I know we won the league but I also liked the area and I liked living there, too.

"So it will be good to go back but it's a tough draw for us.

"Blackburn have got some good players and there are still some players there who we there when I was."
