THE woman behind Bury's very own fame academy took to the stage with the Prime Minister's wife last week.
Carol Godby, who has been responsible for the success of many young television stars, met up with Cherie Booth in Blackpool.
"Cherie was there to attend the Labour Party Conference," said Carol who runs a theatre workshop in Bury.
"I was holding a workshop with young people who are recovering from cancer in conjunction with Christie Hospital and Sargent's Trust, of which she is patron."
She added: "Cherie said she could remember writing a letter congratulating me on receiving the Millennium Bury Woman of the Year" award.
