A LAW student from the Fylde has graduated from Oxford University with two of the top awards for academic excellence.

Catherine Antcliffe, a former head girl of Queen Mary School, Lytham, has attained a first class degree from Magdalen College, with the second highest mark of the year. Additionally, Catherine, 22, from Preston, won university prizes for Contract Law and Family Law.

She will now undertake a year-long legal practice course before taking up a training contract with one of London's leading law firms.
