ACCRINGTON Stanley's promotion bid will be put on the back-burner tomorrow as the Reds go in search of FA Cup glory.

UniBond Premier Division rivals Harrogate Town are the visitors to the Crown Ground and manager John Coleman admitted: "Winning games is a habit and we want to keep our run going.

"Having a run in the FA Cup is great for everyone connected with the club and as ever we will be giving it our best shot. People say playing in the cup can be a distraction but we go out to win every game and tomorrow will be no different."

Stanley won 2-0 at Harrogate in the league in August with goals from Jonathan Smith and Paul Mullin and Coleman admitted: "I thought they were a well organised side. They lost a lad with a sending off but they are doing well as they are finding their feet in this division."

With the introduction of substantial rewards for progress in the great competition, there is an added financial factor ahead of the big game.

There is £10,000 waiting for the winner of the tie but Coleman explained: "While it has been a big boost to the non-League game in the last couple of years it can be a double edged sword.

"It does not apply quite so much here but for some clubs it does put real pressure on teams to succeed. If you don't win and miss out on the money and that can increase the pressure on managers and players."

An FA Cup run would help increase the growing interest in Stanley still further but Coleman and his players are in no doubt as to where the priority lies this season, promotion to the Conference.

New signing Michael Knowles will not be available for the tie and Coleman must decide whether to change the side that beat Colwyn Bay on Wednesday night.
