BURNLEY NHS Trust midwife Elaine Nuttall received recognition for all her hard work at the weekend when she was named Midwife of the Year by Rawtenstall Asda.
The store held a competition among their customers to find the most deserving midwife locally.
Liz Nelson, who works for Rossendale Hospice, nominated Mrs Nuttall after she delivered her baby daughter Bethan and toddler Thomas.
She said she was extremely helpful during both pregnances and afterwards and deserved the prize of a hamper full of beauty products.
