IN an accurate report of court proceedings in last night's Lancashire Evening Telegraph we referred to Alan Dawson, a teacher at Pleckgate High School, Blackburn, accused of two sex offences against a teenage pupil, as a deputy head.
Although Blackburn magistrates were told this was his position, Blackburn with Darwen Council, the education authority, has asked us to point out that he is not a deputy head but is a senior teacher in the maths department.
