LEE Jonathon Hartley, 30, of Neath Close, Blackburn, was jailed for seven months by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to burglary at St Mary's College and theft of a video recorder and burglary with intent to steal at Blackburn Northern sports club.
The court heard that Hartley was arrested after setting off the alarm at Blackburn Northern and confessed to police that he had earlier broken into a temporary classroom at the college, taken the video and concealed it in some bushes.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said the offences were committed because of Hartley's drug addiction.
