A WOMAN driver escaped with minor injuries after a tree blew down on to her car in Walshaw, Bury, earlier today.
The centre of Walshaw was closed off for two hours while the debris was removed near the junction with High Street.
The accident happened at 7.40am when the woman was driving a VW Golf along the road and high winds felled the tree.
A second woman in another car was also treated in hospital for minor injuries.
