NELSON town centre will be transformed into a traditional Christmas market this coming weekend.
The event provides charities, voluntary and community groups with the opportunity to sell festive wares and seasonal gifts to raise funds.
Organisations taking part include: Christ Church; Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle; Cancer Research UK; Southfield Methodist Church; Walverdene Home for The Elderly; Building Bridges; The Samaritans; and St John Ambulance.
The event will incorporate a marquee housing a variety of stalls selling cakes, gifts and crafts with entertainment to keep children amused, including an appearance by Father Christmas, children's rides, face painting and balloon modelling. Children under 12 years of age will get a free balloon creation and brass bands and carol singers will create a festive atmosphere.
Pendle Enterprise Trust will also be hosting their annual Young Enterprise Trade Fair where young business-people from local high schools will be selling goods designed and manufactured by their companies.
At the council's indoor market, shoppers will be able to get free mince pies and sherry complimentary of the Admiral's Market Place.
Children are being asked to design a logo for Nelson's Caring Christmas Market where prizes for the best logo have been donated by Nelson town centre businesses.
